TEANECK, N.J. - In its final race before the championship season begins, the Columbia lightweight rowing team looks to down the Drexel heavyweights at home this Saturday.

COLUMBIA'S STATUS
Coming off of a sweep of Dartmouth last Sunday, the Lions’ varsity eight has won all official cup races for the first time since 2003, and only the second time in program history.  Additionally, the Second Varsity Eight was able to achieve what is believed to be the first undefeated regular season in that boat class in Columbia history.

DREXEL'S STATUS
The Dragons fell to Saint Joseph's and Temple in the varsity eight last weekend at the Bergen Cup, but were able to come away with a win in the Second Varsity.

A LOOK BACK...
Last year the Lions topped Drexel by just over four seconds in the varsity eight and beat them by a convincing 15 seconds in the second varsity.  Drexel came up victorious in the third varsity race.
