Todd Kennedy is in his 14th year in Columbia Sports Information/Media Relations and his second as Associate Athletics Director. During his time at Columbia, he has overseen a significant upgrade in the size and design Columbia’s media guides. In both 2004 and 2006, he helped lead a complete renovation of the athletics website,

Kennedy is charged with promoting Columbia Athletics in media, as well as overseeing the production of the department's media, including publications and website. He oversees a staff of five that includes former employees in sports information offices at the University of North Carolina and Manhattan College.

He was promoted in October 2006 after serving as Director of Athletics Communications for a year and Director of Athletic Communications for Publications for two years.

He is in his fourth season as Columbia's primary sports information contact for football. He is also the main contact for men's and women's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse. He spent a decade as the school's primary contact for men's basketball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's tennis.

Kennedy was hired in 1994 as an assistant director, and was promoted to associate the following year. Prior to Columbia, he completed year-long athletics communications internships at The George Washington University and the University of Pennsylvania.

A graduate of Colgate University where he ran cross country and track, Kennedy earned his B.A. in history in 1992. In 2008, he earned his master’s degree in Columbia’s strategic communications program.
