Directions to Columbia Rowing viewing area at Orchard Beach:

From South via George Washington Bridge:

George Washington Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95 North). Follow signs for the Bruckner Expressway North towards New England. Continue through the Bruckner highway interchange to I-95.

Take the City Island/Orchard Beach exit. Proceed over the drawbridge through the stoplight. Go to the traffic circle and proceed 1⁄4 around traffic circle following signs for Orchard Beach.

Go approximately 1⁄2 mile and bear left towards Orchard Beach. Please park in the large lot and walk to the finish area, marked by a three-story concrete viewing platform.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT PARK ALONG THE GUARDRAIL, AS YOU WILL BE TICKETED BY PARK POLICE.

From the North:

Take I-95 South to Exit 15 (Pelham / New Rochelle / Route 1). Turn left onto Route 1 towards New Rochelle. At Home Depot, turn right on to Weyman Avenue.

Follow Weyman Avenue to Pelham Road and go right. Follow Pelham Road approximately two miles to a roundabout. Go 3⁄4 around the roundabout and follow signs to Orchard Beach.

Go approximately 1⁄2 mile and bear left towards Orchard Beach. Please park in the large lot and walk to the finish area, marked by a three-story concrete viewing platform.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT PARK ALONG THE GUARDRAIL, AS YOU WILL BE TICKETED BY PARK POLICE.

By Train:

Metro North New Haven Line from Grand Central Station to second Pelham stop. Taxi service is available to Travers Island (New York Athletic Club Boathouse) and/or to the finish line viewing area (opposite the Orchard Beach parking lot).

By New York City Subway:

IRT Lexington Avenue line. Take the 5 or 6 train to the end of the line. Taxi service is available from there to Travers Island (New York Athletic Club Boathouse) and/or finish line viewing area (opposite Orchard Beach parking lot).
