EUGENE, Ore. - The Columbia track & field teams finished four events after four days of competition during the NCAA Track & Field Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field.

On day one, Robert Napolitano took off in the 1,500m run. After staying near the lead during the first of two semifinal heats, the senior made a move in the tight pack on the final lap. It would not be enough for Napolitano, who missed the final in 11th at 3:46.50.

The following day, Natalie Tanner competed in the first of two finals she advanced in, the 10,000m run. In the talented field, Tanner claimed 22nd place in 34:26.83. On the final day of competition, Tanner was 24th in the 5,000m run, clocking a 16:31.13 in her final collegiate race, as one of three individuals to compete in both the distance races.

Thursday also featured the women's 3,000m Steeplechase semifinal, as Nell Crosby lined up hoping to advance to the final. Although the junior fell short of reaching that goal, she did produce her second fastest time ever in 10:05.84 and earn second team All-American status as a 16th place finisher.
