Andy Mueller joined the Columbia volleyball coaching staff in August 2012.
Mueller came to Columbia after serving as the assistant women's volleyball coach at his Alma Mater, Columbia College, in Missouri for three years, during which he helped the Cougars achieve a 119-3 record.
Within those three seasons, Mueller helped lead the Cougars to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championship Game in 2010 followed by a NAIA Final Four appearance in 2011. His success also includes assisting in the coaching of multiple NAIA All-Americans and the 2010 NAIA Player of the Year.
During his high school volleyball career, Mueller was named to the Missouri State High School Activities Association's first team All-Conference in 2005 as a four-year standout playing for Francis Howell Central in the 5A level.
Mueller also played two Seasons of club volleyball under the direction of the Missouri Thunder from 2004-2005 and gained collegiate playing experience at Lindenwood University in 2006.
Mueller graduated from Columbia College in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
