NEW YORK - The Columbia volleyball program continued its relationship with Level The Field, hosting a clinic in the University "Blue" Gym on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Lions introduced themselves to the group, spoke about the balance of school and athletics before stepping on the court to participate in skill drills, fun games and scrimmages with the children.

"We have been working with Level the Field for the past four years and love the partnership that Columbia Athletics and our volleyball team has with them," said assistant coach Andy Mueller. "The team looks forward to these events."

Level The Field's mission is to empower inner-city youth by providing a unique opportunity to work with high achieving collegiate student-athletes both inside and outside of the classroom.

"We've dedicated our lives to volleyball because we love the game and we are so grateful to be able to reach out to the kids in our community through it," sophomore Katarina Jovicic stated. "We're looking forward to many more opportunities to work with them this spring."
