Wrestling Faces Princeton Tonight, Penn and Rider on Saturday

NEW YORK - The Columbia wrestling team has a busy weekend ahead as it hits the road to face Princeton tonight and Penn and Rider on Saturday.

The Lions (4-3, 0-1 Ivy League, 1-2 EIWA) are coming off a 30-9 loss to then-No. 3 Cornell on Feb. 4. At 149, Steve Santos took a thrilling 2-0 sudden victory over then-No. 20 Chris Villalonga for his second win over a ranked opponent this season. Stephen West improved to 24-10 with a 6-0 win over Billy George at 174. Shane Hughes defeated Michael Alexander, 8-3, at 184.
Columbia will take on Ivy League foe Princeton (6-10, 1-2 Ivy League) tonight at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Lions will face conference rival Penn (5-6, 1-2 Ivy League) at 1 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa., before heading over to Lawrenceville, N.J. for a 6 p.m. match against Rider (9-7, 3-1 CAA).
