NEW YORK - First-year Winston Lin was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region Player to Watch, one of 12 regional winners across the nation.
The honor caps a stellar first season for the first-year, which culminated with Lin being chosen as a unanimous selection for Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and Columbia being selected for an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament.
Lin posted a 21-1 singles record playing at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, including a perfect 7-0 record in the Ivy League. Lin also notched a 10-3 doubles record with partner Haig Schneiderman, including a 5-2 record in the league at No. 2 doubles.
