Four Menís Tennis Players Capture Draw Titles at Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Columbia men's tennis team completed a successful weekend at the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational, winning four singles flights.

Freshman Daniel Morgan began his Columbia career on a high note, securing a 6-3, 6-1 win in the Pagoda Draw over Princeton's Michael Katz. Max Schnur faced a tough opponent in St. John's Hugo Morth, but the sophomore came away with a 6-3, 7-6(7) victory in the Nassau Draw.

The Cordish Draw served as the site for Columbia's third singles title. Ashok Narayana toppled Matt Barry from Penn State, 7-5, 6-4. Bert Vancura became the fourth Columbia athlete to capture a draw title Sunday, winning the Lenz Draw. Penn's Blaine Willenborg forced a third set, but Vancura went on to black him in the decisive set for a 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 win.

Columbia will next compete at the NTC Invitational in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Sept. 21- 23.
