New York- The No. 27 Columbia men’s tennis team face the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m. at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
No. 12 Winston Lin is currently undefeated in dual play and is on a 12-match winning streak dating back to September. Mike Vermeer is also undefeated in dual play boasting a 7-0 record for the year. The Lions have yet to lose a match at the No. 1 singles position and are above the .500 mark at all doubles positions.
The Bearcats are 8-4 this season. After winning six of their last seven matches, Binghamton broke into the ITA rankings this past week, taking the No. 75 spot. In five of their eight wins, they have taken the doubles point and allowed only one point for their opponents. There are currently no ranked singles or doubles players for the Bearcats but they bring a lineup with experience, with majority being sophomore and juniors.
