No. 24 Men's Tennis Heads to Michigan

NEW YORK - The Columbia men’s tennis team has moved up to the No. 24 spot in the latest ITA polls. The Lions will travel to Michigan to face No. 41 Michigan on Saturday, March 15 in their first of five road matches before returning to the Dick Savitt Tennis Center for the Ivy League home opener.

The Lions look to extend their eight match winning streak to nine before they head to Texas next week. No. 14 Winston Lin has had an amazing dual season with an unblemished 9-0 record at the No. 1 singles position. Doubles pair, Ashok Narayana and Max Schnur, continue to be Columbia’s only ranked doubles pair for the men, moving up two spots to No. 14 this week.

The Wolverines are also looking to extend their four match winning streak this weekend. The No. 41 ranked team boasts one singles player and two doubles pairs in the ITA rankings. Alex Petrone took the No. 112 spot in the singles poll. Barrett Franks and Alex Buzzi, who hold the No. 22 position. Teammates Shaun Bernstein and Kevin Wong hold the No. 52 spot and an unblemished record in the dual season.
