Schneider arrives at Columbia after serving three seasons as a men’s lacrosse assistant coach at Yale. In 2010, he joined the Bulldog staff as a volunteer assistant and finished his third season heavily working with Yale’s goalies. While at Yale, the team captured the 2012 Ivy League Tournament Championship and went on to earn their first NCAA berth in 20 years. He compiled a 33-14 overall record in his tenure and aided several of the nation’s top goalies.
Last season with Schneider, Yale captured the 2013 Ivy League Tournament Championship on its way to the NCAA quaterfinals. It marked the team's first quarterfinals apperance since the 1992 season.
“Coming from the Yale men's team, Brian brings a unique outlook on the game and he has a genuine enthusiasm for helping our players get better everyday. Brian is a true teacher and an excellent mentor, and I'm excited that our players will have exposure to his expertise on building a championship caliber team, " said Kittleman Jackson.
