NEW YORK - The Columbia lacrosse team will host American on Wednesday, March 30 at Robert K. Kraft Field at 2 p.m. The Lions will look to even its non-conference record against the Eagles in the mid-week matchup.
LAST TIME OUT
The Lions dug too big of a hole in the first half against No. 18 Dartmouth, and
despite a strong second half rally, Columbia fell 15-7 to the Big Green on Saturday, March 26. Kacie Johnson led the Lions with three
goals and a draw control, and Mollie Andreae and Flannery Gallagher led the
defensive unit with a pair of caused turnovers apiece.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
American is 5-4 this season and 2-1 in the Patriot League. The Eagles are coming off a 20-11 win
against Bucknell on March 26. Kimberly Collins and Samantha Marshall both lead the team
offensively with 23 points as
Collins boasts a balanced 13 goals and 10 assists, while Marshall has a

Johnson has registered at least a point in 16 straight games, dating back to
March 17, 2010, and has registered a point in all but one game in her young
career. Last season Johnson set the program record for points by
a first-year with 49, and the attacker
has picked up right where she left off, leading the team in points so far this
season with 19.
READY, SET, DRAW!

87. Her first two seasons she
finished with 37 draws each, and has a team-high 13 so
far this year.

Senior defender Gallagher, senior attacker
Gabrielle Geronimos and junior midfielder Gattinella were named
tri-captains for the 2011 season.
