NEW YORK - The Columbia lacrosse team will close out the 2011 season on Saturday, April 30 when it takes on Binghamton in a 1 p.m. matchup. This is the third straight game the Lions have played on the road as they look to finish the 2011 campaign with a win.

Binghamton is 3-12 overall this season and 1-4 in the American East.  The Bearcats are coming off a 14-7 setback to No. 9 Albany last Saturday.  The trio of Lis Zuern, Ali Castiglie and Beth Moore has paced the squad offensively this season, combining for 117 points.  Moore has a team-high 36 goals, while Zuern's 13 assists lead the team. Defensively, Moore and Lauren Lukefahr are tied with a team-high 20 caused turnovers, while Lauren Scott has played every minute in goal this season and sports a 12.13 goals against average.

Taylor Gattinella sits at second all-time in career draws with 108.  The junior co-captain leads the team with 34 draws this year and finished her first two seasons with 37 draws each.  Carrie Anderer '06CC currently holds the career record for draws with 112.

Kacie Johnson has registered at least a point in 23 straight games, dating back to March 17, 2010, and has registered a point in all but one game in her career. Last season Johnson set the program record for points by a first-year with 49, and has led the Lions' offense the entire season with 36 goals, 18 assists and 54 points.  She is currently one point shy of tying the single-season points record of 55 set by Holly Glynn '09CC back in 2008.
