NEW YORK - Columbia junior right-handed pitcher Joey Donino recently appeared on Top Prospect lists released by Baseball America and Perfect Game USA.

Baseball America, which covers baseball at every level, ranked Donino as the number 10 prospect who played in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League this summer. Donino is featured alongside prospects from the ACC, SEC and Big East in the league rankings.

A 6-4 right-hander, Donino pitched for the DC Grays in the Cal Ripken League this summer. Named an All-Star for the Grays midway through the summer, Donino made eight appearances and seven starts on the hill.

In 47 2/3 innings of work, Donino struck out 50 batters and threw a complete game. Donino posted two double-digit strikeout games, once fanning 11 hitters in eight innings.
