NEW YORK -- The Columbia men's soccer team closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule on Tuesday in Garden City, N.Y. against Adelphi. The Lions come into the contest with a 6-7-1 record, while the Panthers are 6-8-1 in 2011.

Columbia is coming off a 1-0 win over Yale on Saturday, pushing the Lions into a tie for fourth place in the Ivy League and just two points behind first-place Cornell.

Junior Will Stamatis registered the game-winner in the 33rd minute, with assists from classmate Nick Scott and sophomore Henning Sauerbier. On the season, Stamatis has six goals -- five of which have resulted in game-winners.

Adelphi has dropped two straight 2-1 decisions to Clemson and Army on the road. Four of the Panthers' six victories on the year have come at home. Brandon Stoneham leads the offense with two goals and three assists, with Christopher Herrera seeing the bulk of the action at goalkeeper.
