Coach Mangurian on Marquel Carter: Intelligent, good ball skills. Conditioning has been a factor, but has had a good off-season. Needs work on focus and situation awareness. Marquel needs to play better when it counts the most, diagnose and react needs to improve.

2011: Played in all ten games ... recorded 47 tota tackles including 23 solo stops ... forced two fumbles and added a tackle for loss ... recorded career-high 12 tackles vs. Cornell

2010: Saw junior varsity action.

At Culver City: All-purpose athlete who played quarterback and defensive back for the Centaurs ... earned three varsity letters ... passed for over 5,000 yards and 47 touchdowns, rushed for 1,107 and 29 touchdowns in his career while recording three interceptions on defense as a senior ... rated as No. 1 quarterback in Ocean League, No. 7 quarterback in California Southern Section and No. 80 quarterbak nationally by Maxpreps ... named first team All-Ocean League as a junior and senior ... Ocean League MVP as a senior ... first team All-California Interscholastic Federation as a senior and second team as a junior ... attended Football University Top Gun camp ... named Nike Elite Star of the Week ... invited to the Aloha Prep Bowl, which features top players from the lower 48 states against Hawaii's top talent ... also played basketball and was a member of the track and field team.
