Coach Mangurian on Chad Washington: Worked in the four-man rotation at defensive end. Should compete for a starting position this spring. Has the size and strength to be a complete player. Needs to become more consistent and disciplined. Has matured as a player over the last year, and must continue to do so. Needs to continue to improve preparation and physical playing style.

2011: Played in three games ... totaled five tackles and one tackle for loss ... saw junior varsity action.

At Bishop O'Dowd High School: Three-year letter winner … first team All-Hayward Area Athletic League ... member of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame ... first team All-East Bay ... second team all-metro ... team captain as a senior … led team to first Hayward Athletic Area League title since 1999 … amassed 70 tackles and nine sacks during senior season … added five fumble recoveries, along with one interception and one blocked punt returned for a touchdown.
