Coach Mangurian on Wells Childress: Size, strength and athletic ability. Equal contributor in the four-man rotation at defensive tackle. Needs more consistency in his game, work on blocking scheme recognition and getting off blocks. Good range and pursuit. Can, and does push the pocket. Unselfish and hard working. Has had a good off-season. Still improving.

2011: Played in five games ... totaled 5 tackles and one sack ... best game was against Brown during the goalline stand in the second overtime, made the tackle on fourth and one to give Columbia the win on senior day.
Transferred to Columbia in 2011.

At Kinkaid School: Played on both the offensive and defensive lines ... also played baseball ... father, Ray, played 11 seasons with the NFL's Houston Oilers and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
