Jacked for Jaclyn Returns to Morningside Heights!
The Columbia Football Team will host the third annual Jacked 4 Jaclyn Lift-A-Thon to raise money for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation on April 27, 2013 - in front of Dodge Fitness Center (Lion Statue) at 1:30 p.m.
Come support the players as they bench press in support of a foundation that strives to provide love, support, and friendship to children suffering with severe conditions. Formed in 2005, the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FOJ) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families.
Now in our third year as a member and supporter of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, Columbia Football has continued to grow closer with fellow Lion, Stuart MacNaughton, age 5. Stuart is a source of constant inspiration and strength for members of the team, with parents whose care for Stuart epitomizes the values of love and sacrifice. Over these last few years, the team has seen Stuart grow and develop from a shy and tearful toddler to a fun-loving and rambunctious youngster.
Players are looking for at least five sponsors each to either sponsor them per repetition of bench press or as a flat donation. EVERY REP AND EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! There is no donation or sponsorship too small. Last year we raised $11,000 and we hope to break $10,000 dollars again this year. So, come cheer on Columbia Football as we put muscle to good use for a worthy cause.
