Your questions might be included in a live Q & A with Coach Mangurian coming soon OR answered on the official Tuesday release!

Weight Your Turn

We know you are dying to see the updated weights on the official roster.  Our team has been working hard in the weight room.  Strength Coach Ryan Cidzik has developed a weight program that has the team peaking at the right time.  Updated weights are coming. Expect to see updated rosters late this week.

Scrimmage Me This

We had a situational scrimmage on Saturday, September 7 – and Coach Mangurian thought it was a solid showing.

“There were times when we looked very good on both sides of the ball.  And there were times when we had some bad plays and missed assignments,” Coach Mangurian said.  “We have two more weeks to improve before Fordham and we will use every moment we can to get better.”

The scrimmage consisted of more than 80 plays in various situations.  There were red zone, backed up, four minute and half time and end of game two-minute situations.  For those who don’t know, backed up situation means the ball originates within three yards of the offense’s end zone.  Four-minute situation is a scenario when the offense is trying run out the clock with a lead.

Details on Next Scrimmage and Columbia Football Players Club Kickoff

The team will scrimmage again on Saturday, September 14.  The scrimmage is open to all Columbia Football Alumni with a Kickoff BBQ and Mentor Draft following the scrimmage. Please RSVP to Elizabeth Tinto at et2455@columbia.edu ASAP.  Please note, the scrimmage is not open to the general public.

Captain(s), My Captain(s)

Marcorus Garrett, Zach Olinger, Seyi Adebayo and Hamilton Garner have been named for the Columbia Football team for the 2013 season.  Coach Mangurian will also still meet with leadership group with representatives of each class as he did last season.

Season Schedule

Just as our players are on a tight schedule each week of the season, so is gocolumbialions.com.  Mondays will include a photo gallery or video recap of the previous week’s game. Periodic Tuesdays will feature an update on Columbia Football during the football season. Wednesdays will feature the official release of game notes for that week’s game.  Stay tuned for our Fordham game notes, which will be released on Wednesday, September 18.  Please note that there may be times, particularly on a week with a televised game, when notes may be available earlier.
