NEW YORK - The Columbia football team will host six home contests at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium this fall, including the Lions' first-ever meetings with Albany and Sacred Heart, as Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Norries Wilson recently unveiled the 2011 schedule.

Columbia will remain in the tri-state area for the first five games of the season, which includes the season-opener at Fordham on Sept. 17. The Lions have opened up nine consecutive seasons against the Rams.

The Lions will then host the Great Danes of Albany (Sept. 24) for the first time in school history before traveling just down the road to play at Princeton in the Ivy League opener on Oct. 1. Columbia hosts back-to-back games on Oct. 8 and 15 vs. Sacred Heart and Penn, respectively. The game against the Quakers will also serve as Columbia's Homecoming game.

Columbia will head north to Dartmouth to open the second half of the season, then hosts Yale (Oct. 29) and Harvard (Nov. 5) in consecutive Ivy League battles.

The second annual Empire State Bowl will take place Nov. 12 at Cornell and the Lions close out the season by hosting Brown on Nov. 19.
