Columbia's Jeff Adams to Play in East-West Shrine Game on January 21

NEW YORK - Columbia senior offensive lineman Jeff Adams will play in college football's East-West Shrine Game, an annual postseason game played each January since 1925.

This year's East-West Shrine Game will take place on Saturday, January 21 at 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. NFL Network will broadcast the game live.

The East-West Shrine Game's website bills the game as "a showcase for the next generation of NFL greats and a priceless benefit for Shriners Hospital for Children."

Last month, Adams was named a third team All-American by the Associated Press. He is a three-time first team All-Ivy League selection at left tackle and is considered one of the nation's top senior offensive linemen in the 2012 NFL Draft, which takes place April 26-28.
