On Saturday, November 19, Take the A Train to Baker Athletics Complex

Scheduled MTA construction on the NYC Subway 1 line has interrupted service to and from the Baker Athletics Complex on weekends during the 2011 fall season, including the home football game vs. Brown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19.

All subway service (uptown and downtown) on the 1 train will be suspended north of 168th Street this weekend:

Saturday, November 19 - Sunday, November 20

The Baker Athletics Complex is completely accessible via mass transit utilizing the NYC subway A line.  Whenever possible, take the A train. The final stop on the A train is 207th Street and riders can exit the station at 211th Street and Isham Avenue. It is a short walk or bus ride to Baker Athletics Complex from there.

Getting to the game:

  • From Downtown/Brooklyn/Queens: Take the A train uptown to 207th Street and exit as Isham Street. Take the Bx7 or M100 bus to 218th Street or walk west on Isham Street and north on Seaman Avenue to Wien Stadium's Class of 1905 Gates at 218th Street.
  • Alternate: Take the 1 train uptown to 168th Street. Transfer to the A train uptown to 207th Street. Take the Bx7 Bus or walk to 218th Street.
  • From Uptown/Bronx: Take the MTA 1 TRAIN SHUTTLE BUS downtown to 215th Street.

Getting home:

  • Going Downtown/Brooklyn/Queens: Take the Bx7 Bus or walk to 207th Street. Take the A train downtown.
  • Alternate: Take the Bx7 Bus or walk to 207th Street. Take A train downtown to 168th Street. Transfer to downtown 1 train.
  • Going Uptown/Bronx: Take the MTA 1 TRAIN SHUTTLE BUS uptown to appropriate stop.

All other weekends, including Saturday, October 15 (REGULAR MTA 1 TRAIN SERVICE UPTOWN AND DOWNTOWN IN EFFECT)

Getting to the game:

  • From Downtown/Brooklyn/Queens: Take the 1 train to 215th Street and walk three blocks to the Baker Athletics Complex.
  • Alternate: Take the A train uptown to 207th Street. Take the Bx7 Bus or walk to 218th Street.
  • From Uptown/Bronx: Take the 1 train to 215th Street and walk three blocks to the Baker Athletics Complex.

Getting home:

  • Going Downtown/Brooklyn/Queens: Walk three blocks from the Baker Athletics Complex and take the 1 train at 215th Street.
  • Alternate: Take the Bx7 Bus or walk to 207th Street. Take the A train downtown.
  • Going Uptown/Bronx: Walk three blocks to 215th Street. Take the 1 train from 215th Street to the appropriate stop.
