NEW YORK – The Columbia men’s basketball program and head coach Kyle Smith host the annual Big Blue Basketball Camp this month, starting with Session I from July 9-12.
Columbia's Big Blue Basketball Camp has three sessions this year! The first session starts this coming Monday, July 9th at 8:30 a.m. Each session runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Columbia coaches and other local college coaches will serve as camp instructors. It is a great camp where kids can have tons of fun, meet other area youngsters and learn the beautiful game of basketball, Columbia style! Registration is online at columbiabasketballcamp.com.
The dates and ages for the three sessions are as follows:
Session 1: July 9-12 (Grades 2-12)
Session 2: July 16-19 (Grades 2-6)
Session 3: July 23-26 (Grades 2-12)
The cost for each camper is $375 per session. Campers will learn two new skills per day and play in league tournaments at their respective competition levels. The camps will also feature special guest speakers, a free t-shirt, contests and authentic Columbia game jersey giveaways. A certified athletic trainer will be on duty at all times.
Columbia’s Levien Gymnasium and Barnard College’s LeFrak Gymnasium serve as the sites of the Big Blue Basketball Camp. Campers should bring basketball shoes, a water bottle, t-shirts, shorts and lunch. Daily lunch options of pizza, Gatorade and snacks will be available for a fee.
