NEW YORK – Columbia junior Alex Rosenberg has been named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 26.5 points on 52.2 percent shooting in a pair of games over the weekend. Rosenberg splits the honor with Yale’s Justin Sears.

Rosenberg put together a performance for the ages on Feb. 14 against Harvard, pouring in a career-high 34 points to go with seven rebounds in a double overtime thriller. Trailing by 12 points in the second half, the Short Hills, N.J., native pitched in 10 points in the final 6-plus minutes to force the extra session. The point total was the most scored by any player in the Ancient Eight this season.

The next night against Dartmouth, Rosenberg reached double-figures for the 20th consecutive game with a 19-point effort, while knocking down 14-of-15 attempts from the charity stripe.

Rosenberg becomes just the fourth player in program history to be named Ivy League Player of the Week three times in a single season, joining Noruwa Agho (2011-12, 2010-11), Buck Jenkins (1990-91) and C.J. Thompkins (1996-97).

Maodo Lo also claimed a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 21 points, four rebounds and four assists against Harvard and Dartmouth.

The Lions return to action on Friday, Feb. 21 against Brown and on Sunday, Feb. 23 versus Yale at Levien Gymnasium. Tickets are available by clicking here. Friday night’s contest can be seen on the Ivy League Digital Network at 7 p.m. and the Sunday matinee will be televised on NBCSN at 1:30 p.m.
