LIONS’ STATUS
After opening the Ivy League slate with a 71-64 defeat of Cornell at Levien Gym on Jan. 18, the Lions have lost three straight conference contests. Yale and Brown each visited the Big Apple last weekend and captured victories against the Lions. First-year Tori Oliver played well in both games for Columbia to earn a spot on the Ivy League Honor Roll. She set a new career-high with 21 points scored, converting on 13-of-14 free throw attempts against the Bulldogs.

TIGERS’ STATUS
Princeton is 2-1 through the early porotion of the Ivy League schedule with wins over Penn and Dartmouth and a loss at home to Harvard. The Tigers bring the highest-scoring offense in the Ivy League to Levien Friday night. In 17 games this season, Princeton has average 74.2 points per game. A trio of players average double figures for the Tigers, led by guard Blake Dietrick’s 14.5 ppg.

QUAKERS’ STATUS
Penn will be at Cornell Friday night, but enters the weekend sporting a four-game win streak, inclduing a sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend. The Quakers narrowly defeated Temple on Jan. 22, 74-70, but have since posted wins by 18 points or more against NJIT, the Big Green and the Crimson. Guard Alyssa Baron paces the offense with 13.4 ppg.

PLAY 4KAY NIGHT - BARNARD COLLEGE NIGHT
Columbia Athletics will be hosting its annual PLAY 4KAY NIGHT, breast cancer awareness night, and BARNARD COLLEGE NIGHT on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Levien Gymnasium at the Dodge Fitness Center when our women’s basketball team hosts Penn at 7:00 p.m.

Play 4Kay is a women’s basketball initiative to raise awareness and funds for cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.  It is a night to join together as a community to celebrate survivors. Columbia Women’s Basketball has participated in Play 4Kay since the 2007-2008 season and has raised $26,270 for breast cancer research.

Barnard College Night celebrates and highlights the unique athletics consortium and Barnard College.

HONOR ROLL, ROLL CALL
For the fifth time this season first-year Tori Oliver earned a spot on the weekly Ivy League Honor Roll after putting together solid performances against Yale and Brown on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, respectively. Against the Bulldogs, Oliver posted 14 points and nine boards, finishing just one rebound shy of a double-double for the second time this season. The next night, the Manassas, Va., native racked up a career-best 21 points, including a 13-of-14 performance from the free throw line, to go with eight rebounds, pushing her over the 100-rebound mark in just 18 games as a Lion.

THE 500-500 CLUB
Courtney Bradford joined an exclusive group of Columbia women’s basketball players on Jan. 31. With four points against Yale, Bradford went over 500 career points. Earlier this season on Dec. 7 at Colgate she grabbed four rebounds to became just the 11th women’s basketball player to record 500 rebounds in a career. Bradford currently has 507 points and 564 boards, good for eighth all-time in program history.

SCORING DOUBLE TIME
Tori Oliver, a starter in 17-of-18 games this season, has reached double figures in 11 contests, the most of any Lion. Miwa Tachibana is second in that category with 10 double-digit efforts.
