NEW YORK - The Columbia women's soccer team will conclude its 2012 slate Saturday, when it visits Cambridge, Mass. for a 12:00 p.m. showdown against Harvard at Solders Field Soccer Stadium.

Columbia and Harvard enter Saturday's contest tied for fourth in the Ivy League standings. Both teams hold a 2-3-1 conference mark, good for seven points.

The Lions will be looking to end the Ivy League season the same way they started it, with a victory. After opening the year with wins over Cornell and Brown, Columbia has gone 0-3-1 in conference play. This past Saturday, Beverly Leon scored her sixth goal of the year to ensure a 1-1 tie with visiting Yale.

Leon and Coleen Rizzo have been the offensive catalysts for Columbia this season. With six goals apiece, the duo has combined for 12 of the Lions' 16 goals this season. With 15 points, Leon is tied for fourth in the Ivy League, while Rizzo remains tied for sixth with 14 points.

The Crimson have had an up-and-down Ivy League season picking up wins over Yale and Brown, in between losses to Penn, Princeton and Dartmouth. Harvard most recently fell to the Big Green, 2-0, on Oct. 28.

Meg Casscells-Hamby leads the Crimson with 15 points on the season, matching Leon with six goals and three assists. In net for Harvard most of the season has been Bethany Kanten who holds a 7-5-3 overall record.

Grace Redmon has played over 1,267 minutes in net for Columbia this season, making 69 saves, second-best in the Ivy League.

The Columbia-Harvard series has been one that has leaned primarily in favor of the Crimson. Harvard maintains a 22-3-1 edge all-time, with the Lions last wins in the series coming in 2006 and 2007. The Crimson won last season's meeting in New York City, 1-0.
