Women's Soccer Concludes Season at Harvard on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Columbia University women's soccer team will look to cap the 2010 season with a victory on the road at Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 6. The Lions are shooting for their 10th victory of the year, and will look to become the eighth team in Columbia history to accumulate double-figure wins in a year.

Junior Ashlin Yahr leads the Lions with seven goals, and is looking to move up on both the single-season and career Columbia lists.Yahr currently sits in a tie for 12th on the single-season goals scored list and ranks fourth on the career list, one behind Sophie Reiser '10CC.

Senior captain Kelly Hostetler ranks among the top single-season playmakers in Columbia history. Hostetler has accumulated seven assists in 2010, tying her for ninth in the record book with current teammate Ashlin Yahr. The outside back ranks in a tie for second in the Ivy League in the category.

Harvard enters the match with a 7-7-3 record overall, and is 3-3 in the Ivy League. Katherine Sheeleigh leads the Crimson with eight goals, six assists and 22 points, while teammate Melanie Baskind has seven goals, three assists and 17 points. Alexandra Millet and Jessica Wright have split time in goal all season, with Wright holding a team-best 1.60 GAA.
