For the third consecutive season, the Columbia men's and women's soccer teams were honored for their outstanding scholastic achievements during the 2010-11 academic year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Columbia boasted two of 789 soccer teams (218 men, 571 women) from around the country to earn the organization's Team Academic Award.
Teams across the country must post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale to receive this honor. The Kevin Anderson-coached Columbia men's soccer program, posted a grade point average of 3.19. Head Coach Kevin McCarthy's women's soccer program posted a 3.36 grade point average.
