- Final | Double Overtime -

NEW YORKEmma Anderson was the hero for Columbia as she knocked in a goal in the 106th minute on an assist from Caroline Militello to give the Lions a 1-0 victory in double overtime.

The score was Anderson's eighth goal of the season, tying Natalie Neshat for the most on the team. Miletello dished her third assist of the season on the game-winner.

Columbia (7-4-1, 3-0 Ivy) took down Penn (2-6-3,1-1-1 Ivy) for the second straight season and begins Ivy play at 3-0 for the second consecutive year as well.

The Lions beat the Quakers at home for the first time since 2009 due in big part to their offensive dominance. Columbia took 29 shots, and 12 on goal while the Quakers managed just 6 shots, 5 of them on goal.

Sophie Whitehouse was strong all night in net, putting up five saves in the victory.

The Lions have won four straight and will return to action on Monday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. as they step away from Ivy League play for one last non-conference game in Easton, Pa against Lafayette.
