NEW YORK - The Columbia softball team will wrap up its six-game homestand with a twinbill against Fairleigh Dickinson tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Baker Athletics Complex.

The Lions (11-13) are coming off their first Ivy League weekend where they took one of two against Dartmouth on Friday before being narrowly defeated by Harvard twice.

Last year, FDU swept three games from Columbia with one game being played at the Rebel Spring Games and two more in Hackensack, N.J. The Lions are 6-8 against the Knights all-time.

First-year Nicole Borchard is the team's hottest hitter coming into the contests with the Knights, batting .400 with a homer and eight RBI. She has taken over the team lead with a .346 batting average and is second on the squad with 17 runs batted in.

In the circle, Emily Kenyon continues to rack up the strikeouts with 78 on the season. She is poised to crack Columbia's top-five for a single season with 37 more K's.

FDU (11-11) is coming off a split with reigning NEC Champions, LIU Brooklyn. The Knights fell to the Blackbirds, 4-0, in game one before earning a 5-2 win in the nightcap.

The duo of Madelaine Wilen and Angelique Nieves have led FDU's offensive attack this year. Wilen has hit .324 through 22 games, while Nieves sits just behind with a .323 average. As a team, the Knights are hitting .257 and have outscored opponents, 67-59.

Freshman Loren Stavrou leads the pitching staff with a 4-1 record and a 1.69 ERA. Collectively, the FDU pitchers maintain a team ERA of 1.94 and have allowed only 41 earned runs.

There will be live stats and live blog coverage for both contests.
