NEW YORK -- The Columbia softball team will continue its non-conference schedule on Tuesday with a road trip to Bethlehem, Pa. to take on Lehigh. First pitch of the doubleheader at Kaufman Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.

The Lions picked up their first Ivy League victory of the season over the weekend, a 16-1 thrashing of Brown on Saturday. The 16 runs were the most ever scored by a Columbia softball team in a single game, eclipsing the previous record of 13 set last season against Fairleigh Dickinson.

First-year Morgan Cook had three hits and four RBIs in the contest, while classmate Emily Caruthers, sophomore Jennifer Bergeron, and seniors Karen Tulig and Anne Marie Skylis all added three hits.

Lehigh enters the contest with a 19-15 record overall, and is 5-1 in the Patriot League this season. The Mountain Hawks are an unblemished 6-0 at home this year, and are led by Liz Lucas. Lucas has a team-best .368 and has six home runs and 31 RBIs through 34 games. The pitching triumvirate of Rebecca Bliss, Kelsey Lee and Ashley Quigley have just about evenly split the innings in the circle. Bliss leads the team with a 9-3 record and a 2.86 ERA.
