NEW YORK – The Columbia softball team’s scheduled Wednesday doubleheader against Lehigh has been canceled.

The doubleheader was cancelled because Lehigh (32-16) must make up a pair of Patriot League games against Colgate that were postponed on April 22 due to expected inclement weather.

The Lions’ regular-season doubleheader finale against Manhattan on May 1 has been pushed up to a 1:30 p.m. start, one and a half hours earlier than previously scheduled.

Columbia (12-29, 6-10 Ivy League) will prepare for its final Ivy League regular season series of the year. The Lions head down to Philadelphia on Friday to face Penn (27-15, 11-5 Ivy League) in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. at Penn Park/Multidimensional Amphitheater. On Saturday, Columbia will host a doubleheader against the Quakers starting at 12:30 p.m. at Columbia Softball Field.
