NEW YORK – With summer golf season right around the corner, Columbia head men’s golf coach Rich Mueller has announced that he will host summer two golf camps for different age groups and levels.

“As a PGA Professional and college coach, growing and promoting the game of golf is very important to me,” said Mueller, who in 2012-13 will begin his eighth year leading the Lions’s golf program and 13th as a head coach. “First, I am honored to be introducing our Cubs Campers, ages 6-12, to the game of golf. Exposing younger kids to a game they can play their whole lives is very exciting. For our new Lions Camp for boys of ages 13-18 at Galloway National Golf Club, the focus will be more on reinforcing solid fundamentals and teaching more advanced techniques to young men (ages 13-18) who are considering playing golf in college. I expect both programs to give participants a rewarding learning experience.”

For children of ages 6-12, Mueller is hosting Lions Golf Camps that coincide with this summer’s Cubs Camp and the cost is $60 per session in addition to the Cubs Camp tuition. Golf Lessons will take place Monday-Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Dodge Physical Fitness Center during the following Cubs Camp sessions:

Session 1 – June 11-13
Session 2 – June 25-28
Session 5 – July 9-11
Session 8 – July 30-August 1
Session 9 – August 6-8
