Jordan Lee Fires 71 on Opening Day of Joe Agee Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- First-year Jordan Lee was one of three players in the field of 68 participants to shoot even-par or better as the Columbia men's golf team concluded the first day of play at the Joe Agee Invitational, hosted by William & Mary, on Saturday. Lee shot a one-under par 35 on the back nine to conclude his round at even-par 71, as he sits in third individually. As a team, the Lions are in fifth place out of 14 teams.

On a course that was playing over seven strokes above par on average throughout the field, Lee carded 12 pars on his round. Senior Clark Granum had four birdies on his round to tie for the fifth-most in the tournament. Granum finished his day at 75 and is tied for 18th place.

First-year Andrew Kim shot 77 and is tied for 30th place, while sophomore Michael Yiu is tied for 40th at 79. Senior Justin Lee rounded out the Columbia competitors at 81 and is tied for 49th.

The second and final day of the Joe Agee Invitational will take place on Sunday, Oct. 10.
