NEW YORK -- Senior Clark Granum and sophomore Michael Yiu have been named to the 2011 Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America recently. Granum picked up the second consecutive all-region accolade of his incredible career, while Yiu earned all-region honors for the first time.

Granum became the first four-time All-Ivy League golfer in Columbia history after finishing in a tie for seventh at the 2011 Ivy League Championship. The San Diego native led the Lions with a 74.50 stroke average, and following the season was awarded the Connie S. Maniatty Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete Award at the 90th Annual Varsity C Celebration.

Yiu ranked second on the squad with a 75.00 stroke average, and recorded six top-20 finishes over the course of the 2010-11 season. The rising junior fired a final-round 67 to finish third at the Triumph at Pauma Valley, and tied for ninth at the Navy Spring Invitational.

Over the course of the last three seasons, Columbia golfers have been named to the PING All-Region teams a total of four times, as rising senior Brendan Doyle also earned all-region status following the 2008-09 season.
