NEW YORK – First-year men’s golfer Harrison Shih has been invited to play in the prestigious 2012 Patriot All-America golf tournament Dec. 27-31, hosted by The Wigwam Gold Course in Litchfield, Ariz.

Established by the Golf Coaches Association of America, in conjunction with the Folds of Honor Foundation, The Patriot All-America seeks to honor fallen military members, while providing the top collegiate golfers a “bowl game” experience.

In its second year, The Patriot All-America provides Folds of Honor a platform to honor our nation’s fallen heroes. Each member of the 84-player field will carry a donated PING golf bag embroidered with a warrior’s name from their hometown or school. Following the tournament, each bag will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting the Fold of Honor Charity.

The 54-hole tournament features 84 of the nation’s top golfers from each of the NCAA’s three divisions, as well as competitors from the NAIA and NJCAA. The Wigwam Gold Course, nicknamed “Arizona’s Monster” is a par-70 course that plays at more than 7,430 yards.
