Men's Golf in 13th After Round One of The Desert Shootout

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Columbia men's golf team opened the spring season with a strong first round at the 2014 Desert Shootout, shooting a five-over 293, but will start the second round Friday in 13th place. 

Drake sits just one stroke ahead of the Lions in 11th place, while Southern Utah is pacing the strong field at nine-under (279) heading into the second round. 

Friday's second round will begin with an 10 a.m. (ET), shotgun start, while Saturday's final round will get underway with a 10:30 a.m. (ET), shotgun start. 

Individual scores were not available after the first round. Please continue to check as the tournament progresses throughout the weekend.
