Men's Golf Moves into 11th at NCAA Regional

STANDINGS

SAN ANTONIO - An improved second day has moved the Columbia men's golf team into a tie for 11th place after shooting a team score of 291 at the NCAA San Antonio Regional at Briggs Ranch Golf Course.

First-year Tharusyan Pillay had a strong second round, moving from a tie from 57th up to a tie for 32nd after shooting a two-under 70. Sophomore Harrison Shih had another good outing on the golf course, carding a 75 to end the second day tied for 45th.

Fellow first-year Christopher Chu also turned in a solid round, posting a one-under 71 to stand tied for 51st. Junior Brandon Jowers turned in a 75 in the second round, heading into the final round tied for 57th as well. Andrew Kim finished the day with a 79 and is tied for 70th.

The final round at Briggs Ranch Golf Club will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
