Women's Golf in Second Place After Day One of Bucknell Tournament

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Columbia women's golf team kicked off the fall season with a strong showing on day one of the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday at Bucknell Golf Club. Following today's first two rounds, the Lions are currently three strokes back from the lead, placing them in second place.
Senior Michelle Piyapattra led the Lions with a solid day, carding scores of 72, 77 to place third overall.
Jaqueline Chulya also had a strong performance with scores of 78, 77, tying for ninth.
Rachel Shi and Lilette Mocioboth tied for 14th, finishing the first two rounds 18 over-par.
William & Mary currently holds the lead at +52 overall. Victoria Nguyen of Siena College and Erin McClure of Seton Hall are tied for the lead with scores of 148 at eight over.
The final round of play is slated to begin on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 8:30 a.m.
