Piyapattra Tied For Fourth After Opening Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. -- First-year Michelle Piyapattra fired back-to-back rounds of 74 and is tied for fourth after the opening day of the Princeton Invitational. Piyapattra is six strokes behind Yale's Seo Hee Mon for the individual lead.

The Lions are in seventh place as a team, eight strokes behind Rollins and 10 strokes ahead of fellow City of New York competitor St. John's. Yale leads the team competition at 594, two strokes ahead of Princeton.

Junior Robin Lee was the next best finisher for Columbia, following consecutive sub-80 rounds (76, 78). First-year Jane Dong shot an opening-round 76 and is tied for 35th, and junior Lynda Kwon is in 43rd place at 162. Sophomore Ashley Zambito ranks 57th after the first day at 170.

The third and final round of the Princeton Invitational will take place on Sunday, Sept. 19.
