NEW YORK -- The Columbia University women's golf team will close out its 2010 fall season on Oct. 16-17 at the Harvard Fall Invitational. The Lions will head to Massachusetts to compete against Ivy League foes Brown, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Dartmouth and the host Crimson at The International Golf Course.
Columbia has been led all fall by first-year Michelle Piyapattra, who has two top-10 finishes to her credit through the first three tournaments. Piyapattra opened the season by tying for 21st at the competitive Wolverine Invitational in Michigan, then finished third at the Princeton Invitational and eighth at the Nittany Lion Invite.
The Corona, Calif. native ranks third in the nation in greens in regulation within 15 feet, according to GolfStat, and maintains an impressive 75.2 stroke average.
