LEWISBURG, Pa. - Columbia women's golf standout Michelle Piyapattra won medalist honors in a sudden death playoff on the final day of the Bucknell Invitational Sunday, leading the Lions to a second place team finish.

Tied with Victoria Nguyen of Siena College, Piyapattra earned the victory by birdieing the second hole while Nguyen had a putt for par. Overall, Piyapattra shot 72-77- 73--222, picking up her fifth career victory.

As a team, Columbia (309-306-307--922) finished the 17-team tournament just 10 strokes back of top-finisher William & Mary (310-302-300--912), tying with Seton Hall for the runners-up spots.

First-year Jackie Chulya had an impressive debut for the Lions, finishing in the top ten, tied for eighth at 21 over-par after carding her lowest score in the final round (78-77-76--231).

Lilette Mocio also had a strong outing, carding scores of 82-75-75--232 to finish tied for 12th place.

The Lions are back in action from Sept. 14-15 for the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
