NEW YORK - The Columbia women's golf team will send student-athletes to two tournaments this Monday and Tuesday. The Lions will be in action in Ledbetter, Ky. at the Murray State Drake Creek Invitational, as well as in East Meadow, N.Y. at the St. John's Women's Intercollegiate.

The Drake Creek Golf Club will serve as the host for the Murray State Invitational with shotgun starts beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17. The 11-team field will feature: Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Central Arkansas, Columbia, Drake, Jackson State, Murray State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois and Tennessee State.

St. John's Women's Intercollegiate will be held on the par-72, approximately 6,399-yard Eisenhower Park White Course. Columbia student-athletes will be among the first three groupings to tee off, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The field at Eisenhower Park will feature Central Conn. State, Columbia, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hofstra, Sacred Heart, Seton Hall, St. Francis, St. John's and Towson.

Columbia is coming off a solid fifth-place finish at the Bucknell Invitational a week ago. Freshman Monique Ishikawa placed second in her first collegiate tournament with Columbia.
