Women’s Golf Finishes Tied for 12th at Shortened C&F Bank Intercollegiate
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Columbia women's golf team finished up its second round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate Tuesday tied for 12th. The tournament was originally slated for three rounds, but was shortened to just two due to inclement whether and darkness Monday.
Junior Jane Dong finished as the top individual for the Lions, staking claim to a tie for 38th with a two-round score of 157 (80-77).
A trio of Lions finished tied for 64th with combined scores of 162. First-year Monique Ishikawa posted a 77 in the second to match Dong, while Lisa Combs finished just one stroke back in the second round with a 78. Lilette Mocio recorded an 83 in her final round.
Spenser Krut rounded out the Lions top five with second round 88 to finish tied for 107th. Also in action for Columbia were Ashley Zambito, and Maria Lu. Zambito finished the C&F Bank with a two-round score of 173 (87-86), while Lu put up a 177 (88-89).
Columbia will next be in action when it hosts the Seventh Annual Roar-EE Invitational on April 12 at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y.
