New York- The No. 36 women’s tennis team heads to Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend for their first away matches of the Ivy League season. The Lions take on No. 39 Harvard on Friday, April 4 and Dartmouth on Saturday, April 5.

The Lions have garnered victories from all of their last eight matches. In their opening Ivy League match, Columbia swept Cornell, 6-0, last weekend at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. Five out of the six singles matches were won in straight sets. The sixth was not finished.

The No. 39 Crimson are 8-4 for the year and have yet to face an Ivy League opponent this year. No. 57 Spencer Liang/Monica Lin are the only ranked duo for the team. They are currently 5-5 at the No. 1 doubles position. Lin also holds the best singles record on the team.

Dartmouth is only 4-6 on the season. Their most recent loss came from then-ranked No. 27 Houston, although the Big Green was able to keep it close, losing by only one point, 3-4. This will be the first official Ivy League match of Dartmouth’s season but it is not the first time they have seen an Ivy League opponent. The Big Green participated in the ECAC Championship where they faced two other Ivy League teams.
