PRINCETON, N.J.—In a matchup of two undefeated Ivy League women’s tennis teams, No. 46 Princeton claimed a 6-1 decision over Columbia Sunday at Jadwin Gym. The loss ends Columbia’s four-match win streak and drops the Lions to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play, while Princeton improves to 15-3 overall and 3-0 in league play.


First-year Jennifer Kerr registered Columbia’s lone point of the day as she defeated Princeton’s Stephanie Schrage 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 at No. 2 singles. With the win, Kerr improves to 18-7 on the year.


After Princeton took the doubles point with two wins, the Tigers secured the win with victories at No. 1 singles, No. 5 singles and No. 3 singles. Princeton led 5-0 before Kerr tallied her victory. Columbia senior Adi Milstein closed the day by dropping a close 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-7 back-and-forth match to Princeton’s Nathalie Rodilosso.


Princeton represented the second nationally ranked team that Columbia has faced this year.


Columbia is back in action next weekend when it travels to play Harvard (Saturday, April 14) and Dartmouth (Sunday, April 15). The Lions close their season the following weekend by facing Brown (Saturday, April 21) and Yale (Sunday, April 22) at Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
