Ivy League Digital Network Launches 2014-15 with Free Opening Weekend
PRINCETON, N.J. -- After an incredibly successful inaugural year that saw over 1,000 events streamed live, The Ivy League Digital Network will kick off its second year broadcast schedule with a free opening weekend.
The free period will run from September 5 through September 7 and will feature season-opening games around the Ivy League. Columbia fans can catch the volleyball and men and women’s soccer teams kick-off the 2014 campaign during the free preview this weekend.
"We are excited to officially launch 'Year 2' of the Ivy League Digital Network and look forward to building upon the tremendous success we experienced last year," said Robin Harris, Ivy League Executive Director.
"The free opening weekend provides an opportunity for Ivy League fans to watch and root for their favorite teams in several sports. We are confident that our fans will appreciate this first-rate viewing experience and will sign-up to continue watching all year."
The women’s volleyball team will open its 2014 slate during this free weekend with the Lions’ three matches of the Columbia Invitational set to be streamed live in HD quality for the first time. The Columbia soccer programs will make their debut on the network this weekend as well. The women hosts Sacred Heart Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m., while the men entertain Michigan on Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium the following day at 3 p.m.
