Listed are the minimal services & equipment that will be provided by Columbia University at contests for the following sports.
As approved by the Ivy League Head Athletic Trainers.
Football:
- Emergency communication readily accessible
- Ambulance, with spine board and AED immediately available
- Physician in attendance
- A certified athletic trainer in attendance
- Two 10 gallon coolers on the sideline and one 10 gallon
cooler in the locker room
- Ice, as is required, on the sideline to cool drinking water
- Ice, as is required, for the sideline to be used by the
athletic trainer, for injury management
- Ice, in the locker room, to cool drinking water at half-time
and for the athletic trainer for post-game injury management
- Three locker room taping tables
- Sideline examining table for medical personnel
- Transportation of visiting teams medical equipment to and
from the playing field
- Appropriate bags and containers for the disposal of
biohazardous waste material
Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track
& Field, Volleyball and Wrestling:
- Emergency communication readily accessible
- AED readily accessible
- A certified athletic trainer available
- One 10 gallon cooler on the sideline and water available at
half- time when appropriate
- Ice, as is required, for the sideline to be used by the
athletic trainer, for injury management
- One locker room taping table
- Appropriate bags and containers for the disposal of
biohazardous waste material
